Shirley (Levine) Boam

Shirley (Levine) Boam, 80, of Middletown, daughter of the late Samuel and Helen (Kessler) Levine, died Monday, Oct. 26, at Middlesex Hospital in Middletown. Shirley was the devoted wife of Sidney Boam for the past 30 years; her first husband, John Stern, died when Shirley was 38. She was the loving mother of her children: Keith Stern and his wife, Elisabeth, of Newton, Mass., Marta Johnson and her husband, Doyle, of Austin, Texas, and Joan Lorah and her husband, Marc, of East Hampton; was the proud grandmother of seven grandchildren and the older sister of William Levine and his wife, Maryl, of Bethesda, Md.
