Plan B: One of The Country's Fastest-Growing Companies
If you consider Plan B Burger Bar in West Hartford, Glastonbury or Simsbury to be your local neighborhood hangout, you might be surprised to hear that the chain has been named one of the fastest-growing companies in the United States.
Inc. Magazine's 500|5000 List takes a look at 5,000 of the country's privately-held companies, ranked by percentage of growth. At number 565, Plan B just narrowly missed the top-tier 500 companies.
According to the list, Plan B had a 541 percent growth rate over the past three years, with revenue of $5.5 million.
The upscale burger bar and gastropub is known for its freshly-ground beef burgers and a selection of fun comfort foods like mini chili dogs, meatballs, pulled pork and three-cheese fondue. Drinkers enjoy the pub's exceptional variety of craft beers and bourbons.
Plan B plans future expansion into Atlanta, Boston, Chicago and Georgetown, according to its website. Its owners also own and operate The Half Door and Tisane Euro-Asian Cafe, both in Hartford.
