Bobby Flay At Aetna In Hartford Wednesday

Iron Chef Bobby Flay comes to the Insurance City Wednesday - specifically, Aetna's Farmington Avenue headquarters - in the name of healthy eating.

Flay is the face of Aetna's "Healthy Food Fight," a 10-city cooking contest promoting healthy eating, healthy cooking and healthy living.

On Wednesday at 11 a.m., six Aetna employee chefs from across the country will compete for the title of the company's healthiest. Flay and Aetna executives will sample the dishes and choose the winner.

Post-competition, which will be held outdoors near the cafeteria, Flay will share his tips for healthy cooking and eating with a live audience of Aetna employees.

Flay, a New York-based chef known for his Southwestern-influenced cuisine, hosts the popular Food Network shows "Boy Meets Grill," "Grill It," "Throwdown With Bobby Flay" and "Next Food Network Star." He owns several restaurants in the United States and one at the Atlantis resort in the Bahamas. Two of these, Bar Americain and Bobby's Burger Palace, are located at Mohegan Sun.
